Course description

Included in the Residential Package:

- 15 hours’ tuition per week (1 hour = 60 minutes) following a zig zag timetable of both morning and afternoon mixed nationality classes (max. 15 per class)
- Apollo Focus: 9 hours’ optional extra tuition per week completely free of charge
- Residential Accommodation: on-campus single room with en-suite bathroom in shared apartments
- All meals in the university restaurant
- Excellent sports complex with tennis courts, dance studios and extensive outdoor football/hockey pitches
- A wide variety of activities every afternoon & evening
- 2 full day excursions per week on Wednesdays & Saturdays
- Dublin City Centre Excursion on Sundays

Apollo Advantages

Apollo Focus:
Consists of an optional 9 hours’ extra tuition per week, completely free of charge. Apollo Focus will take place twice per week during the activity timeslots. The focus of the lessons will be exam practice or project work and students can choose their preferred option at time of booking.

Apollo Course Workbook:
Apollo Young Learners will each receive their very own course workbook filled with interesting topics & activities to follow during their course. Students will bring their workbook home giving them a sense of accomplishment & giving parents the opportunity to see what their son/daughter has been learning while in Ireland.

Very nice place and good facilities. The sports activities were wonderful and a very good spirit among the participants. Classes have bee very interesting, allowing to better the speaking abilities.

The rooms were great, the only but is clearly the food that should be improved in variety and quality.

Accommodation for Apollo students is located on the modern north campus in single bedrooms with a private en-suite bathroom for each student. The residential accommodation chosen by Apollo is the newest block of apartments at Maynooth University, completed in late 2016.

Rooms:
Each student has a single bedroom with a private en-suite bathroom. Rooms have a single bed, carpet on floor, a study desk and wardrobe/hanging area.
Bathrooms:
All rooms have a private en-suite bathroom with sink, toilet & shower facilities.
Meals:
Breakfast, lunch & dinner included in campus restaurant.
Kitchen:
Shared kitchen is available in each apartment for snacks/hot drinks. However, as all meals are provided, cooking is not permitted.
Lounge Area:
Shared lounge area is available in each apartment with couches & TV.
Internet:
There is free wireless internet access in the accommodation and throughout the campus.
Laundry:
A laundry room is available in the accommodation blocks for washing and drying clothes at an extra charge of approx. €3 per load.
Security and keys:
Students are issued with a security card for their apartment and room on arrival.
Bed linen, towels and cleaning:
Clean bed linen and towels are supplied once a week. There is a light clean of the common areas of each apartment daily. Bedrooms and bathrooms are cleaned twice per week during the student’s stay. Students must keep their room and apartment tidy at all times.
Deposit & Damage Charges:
There is a damage deposit of €50 payable on arrival (in cash). This will be returned to the student upon departure, providing no damage has been made.
Visitors:
Students are not permitted to have visitors in their apartments.
Noise and restrictions:
Noise must not be heard outside the bedrooms after 23.00.

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged 150 € when you register.
