The Intensive General English course is for students who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay in Killarney. The courses focus heavily on speaking and communication improvement: the morning consists of 3 lessons in communication skills, while the afternoon consists of 2 lessons in special topics. These lessons provide the opportunity to learn the local culture and customs.
Textbooks and a variety of other materials are used in instruction, including role-playing, newspapers, magazines and other materials. Students focus on special topics and classes in the afternoon. Topics include: fluency practice, research and active outdoor language practise, meeting and interviewing local professional people.

All EGA International schools are located in the town area. EGA International uses different tuition centres as all students are divided by ages and levels. Our main headquarters is located in the center of Town at College Square. Our Central school is just 3 minutes from local train and bus station.
Kerry Airport and Cork International Airport both services our town.

EGA does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.
EGA International is located in the heart of Killarney, one of Ireland’s most beautiful and welcoming towns. Our main headquarters are based in College Square, right in the centre of town, just a 3-minute walk from Killarney train and bus station.
All our class centres are centrally located within the town area. Students are placed in different teaching centres according to their age and English level, allowing us to provide a more personalised and effective learning experience.
Killarney is internationally known for its warm hospitality, safe environment and outstanding natural beauty. Surrounded by Killarney National Park, lakes, mountains and some of Ireland’s most iconic landscapes, it is the perfect destination for students who want to improve their English while enjoying a truly unforgettable Irish experience.
The town offers a lively and friendly social atmosphere, with shops, cafés, restaurants and cultural attractions all within walking distance. Killarney is also very well connected, with Kerry Airport nearby and Cork International Airport offering excellent access for international students.
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Killarney. These homes are often between 7 - 25 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. The school is also not authorized to issue documents to support your visa application. If you need a visa, you have to apply for a visitor or tourist visa on your own.
