Course description

This is available for a number of different language levels – A0/A1 (complete beginner) up to C1 (advanced). Classes are small with a maximum of 10 students, allowing for interactive but effective teaching.

Schedule can be 09.30-11.00/11.30/12.00 depending on groups size but can vary.

Spark also offers students a Cultural Activities programme during the afternoons, where students can sign up for a different cultural activity. Typical activities include visits to El Puerto´s historic Castle, trips to nearby towns and Flamenco shows. This gives students the perfect mix of dynamic Spanish learning and the opportunity to experience the rich culture of Andalusia.

Since we believe that learning a language is not just grammar rules or vocabulary, all of our classes at Spark give students sufficient opportunities for speaking and practicing fluency. A varied range of engaging activities such as conversation topics, role plays, speaking activities, organised debates and discussion groups mean our students really enjoy the dynamic nature of our courses and always surpass their own expectations with how much they learn.

School description

Spark Spanish is a friendly, family-run language school in the beautiful town of El Puerto de Santa María, on the south-west coast of Andalucía. With its beautiful beaches and rich history, it is a perfect location to ensure a great Spanish learning experience.

We run a range of adult courses in summer, July to September. With the option of our General Course of 20 hours per week or an Intensive option with additional 5 one to one classes in the afternoons. Our innovative teaching methodologies, combined with our great native teachers and small class sizes (4-6 on average), our students always surpass their expectations with how much they learn.

Spark students have various accommodation options, from our own cultural residence on the first floor of the Spark Spanish Academy, to host families or students finding their own in a hotel or house nearby. Our most popular option is the residence, due to its convenient location and friendly atmosphere. Our self-catering residence boasts a large, bright kitchen/dining room, single or double bedrooms, free WiFi throughout, laundry facilities, huge roof terrace and more.

Every week we organise a cultural events programme for staff and students which serve as great opportunities for practicing Spanish and exploring the area.

Spark Spanish is located in the wonderful town of El Puerto de Santa María on the south-west coast of Spain. With its beautiful beaches and rich history it is a perfect location to ensure a great Spanish learning experience for you! It's a truly authentic Andalusian town where the Spanish go on holiday, so with little foreign tourism, it makes it a great place to learn and practice Spanish.

Spark is located just on the outskirts of the town centre, which is just a 10 minute walk away. The nearest beach is also just a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction, so we are perfectly situated.

In the beginning I did not know how the language class will be when held via Zoom. But it worked out so great that I booked another course right after I finished my first course. Doing the classes via Zoom enables me to attend this second course and further improving my language skills. Furthermore, I can do the classes whereever I want / can. We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
