Engaging English Lessons
We have carefully designed our Young Learner Course. In their lessons, our young learners will take part in communicative activities which are presented through interesting topics. These topics are suitable for younger learners and teenagers. By the end of their course, younger learners should have:

Trips to local places of interest so that our young learners can learn more about the history and culture of Wales.
A good range of sports activities so that our young learners can keep fit and exercise. These include water sports and football.
Creative and entertaining evening activities so that our young learners can have fun and speak English with their new friends. These include discos, quizzes and crafts.

The programme is delivered at Haberdashers’ Monmouth School, a well-established and prestigious educational institution in Wales, offering an excellent learning environment for young students.
Teaching is led by qualified and experienced English language teachers who specialise in working with young learners. Lessons are interactive, engaging and designed to build students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing. The curriculum also incorporates topic-based content, including elements of global citizenship and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, making learning both meaningful and relevant.

The programme takes place at Haberdashers’ Monmouth School, located in the historic town of Monmouth, in Wales. This safe and welcoming town offers a peaceful environment surrounded by beautiful countryside, making it an ideal setting for young learners.
The campus provides a traditional British boarding school experience, with modern facilities including classrooms, sports centre and on-site residence accommodation. Students benefit from a fully residential environment, with all lessons, activities and accommodation located on campus.
Monmouth is well connected and easily accessible, situated approximately 1 hour from Cardiff and Bristol airports, and around 2.5 hours from London Heathrow.
This unique Welsh location allows students to experience authentic British culture while enjoying a wide range of excursions to cities such as Cardiff, Bath, Oxford and London.
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from . Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.
If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
