Morning English courses in Brighton

You study 20 lessons every week following BLC’s curriculum of focused language training. A great choice if you want to have free time in the afternoon to enjoy your time in Brighton, see the sights or socialise with your new friends from BLC.

Our General English course is designed to improve all areas of your English, increasing your vocabulary, enhancing your grammar, boosting your written work and strengthening your reading skills. We encourage individual learning and independence through working alone, in pairs and in groups.

A broad General English course which is specifically designed to improve your overall language skills across the 4 key areas — reading, writing, listening, speaking — whilst leaving plenty of free time to enjoy your time outside of class. You’ll gain confidence through total immersion in English Structure: - 20 lessons (15 hours) per week, usually taking place every morning from Monday to Friday.

The Standard course offers students the perfect balance between language training and leisure time. A communicative approach developing fluency in speaking, listening, reading and writing ensures that the grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation components are applied to actual language use.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a globally-recognised English language qualification. It measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication.

General English includes reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar. Teachers use a variety of communicative techniques to help students learn and progress.

Students follow a core curriculum focusing on all 4 skills of English language training.

Explorer 1 is for students age 7-9, Explorer 2 is for students age 10-12. Classes focus on activities to encourage students to activate their language skills and promote understanding and friendship with the English language.

A course tailored for younger students to enhance English skills through interactive projects and activities in class. ​This offers a fun and educational experience, with an option to prepare for Cambridge exams.

Enjoy the summer holidays with a language and travel package suited for families where both parent and child can learn language, while enjoying travel in a new city. ​The lessons are split, and free time can be enjoyed together.

Join our fun and interactive Summer English Course (classes only) designed especially for children aged 8 to 12! Through games, stories, songs, creative activities, and speaking practice, students will improve their English skills in a friendly and engaging environment.

If you want to study at university in the UK, then you’ll need an IELTS certificate. We run an ongoing morning course of either 15 or 20 hours a week.
